American Integrity is a financially sound and reputable residential property insurance company, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find we’re so much more than that. We are in the business of helping homeowners protect their home and family. This is an important task and not one we take lightly. Since our inception, the focus of our company has always been on providing passionate, timely and friendly service to our policy holders.
Florida’s homeowner’s insurance market is unique and presents many challenges. Between the exposure to catastrophic events like hurricanes and dealing with the growing problem of insurance fraud, it takes a special group of people to make it work. This is actually why we choose to only sell in Florida. It keeps our talents and skills focused so we can best serve our customers. We have always valued long term stability over short term growth.
Relating to Florida homeowners comes easily to us because – we’re Florida homeowners tool. Our main and only office is located in Tampa, FL. Our products include traditional homeowner’s insurance, special coverage required for vacant homes, manufactured homes, and policies designed for those who need less coverage or are renting out their home. We sell our insurance through independent agents, who like us, put customer service first.
History
Our President & CEO, Robert Ritchie, created American Integrity Insurance back in 2006 in response to the overwhelming shortage of residential insurance availability in Florida. After the unprecedented hurricane season of 2004 many insurance companies went out of business, leaving their policy holders scrambling to get claims paid and find new coverage. At the same time, many national carriers pulled out of Florida, find the geographic risk to be too great. Other companies just stopped writing business, waiting until the aftermath of the hurricanes to settle. To most people, this wouldn’t appear to be the most ideal time to create an insurance company, but Bob saw things differently.

Since inception our focus has always been on service. This is what has enabled us to succeed and responsibly grow to over 200,000 policyholders!
Financial Stability
According to Demotech, an “A” rating is “…assigned to insurers who possess exceptional financial stability related to maintaining positive surplus as regards policyholders, liquidity of invested assets, an acceptable level of financial leverage, reasonable loss and loss adjustment expense revers (L&LAE) and realistic pricing.”
Another major reason for our financial strength is our robust reinsurance program. What is a reinsurance company? Simply: “an insurance company which insures insurance companies.” Reinsurance helps pay for losses in the event of a major disaster. American Integrity holds enough reinsurance that if we were to undergo another hurricane season like 2004, with four hurricanes, our operations would continue as usual/ We buy so much protection because our customers need to trust that we will be here when they need us.
